Vendors, welcome to Pilsen Fest 2022!
Hello to all the vendors participating in this 2022 edition of Pilsen Fest! Hope you are all excited about this coming weekend. We are! The time is finally here! Here are some instructions for you all to know in order to make everything run as smoothly as possible!
CHECK-IN AND SET UP We will start receiving food vendors at 5:00 am and craft vendors at 8:00 am. We recommend you to calculate the amount of time you need to set up and be ready to serve by noon. You may drive in from 19th Street and Blue Island Avenue. Someone will be there to give you your assigned spot. Just state your name and vendor name. It helps to mention if you are selling food or are a craft merchant. Very important to keep in mind:
City of Chicago Inspectors will be present on Saturday and Sunday, please follow all protocols and regulations by the health department. Food vendors must have their own fire extinguisher. Summer Festival Food Vendor Sanitation Card, NO VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED IN AFTER 11:00AM, AND ALL VEHICLES MUST BE REMOVED FROM FEST GROUNDS AND PARKED ELSEWHERE BY 11:30 AM. NO EXCEPTIONS. People do arrive early, so let’s give them what they came to see…a Fest full of food and great local artisan goods for them to purchase!
Food vendors for the most part need more time than merchant vendors, but you alone know what you have. Don’t be that person who is still setting up when fest is already in full swing. No latecomers will be accepted after noon…With or without a car. It causes too much disruption.
RESOURCES PROVIDED We are providing you with power, but please bring extension cords, lights, etc. We will not have those available. Those bringing their own tents must bring something appropriate to weigh them down! It’s very important and a City of Chicago safety concern! No exceptions either! Tents we provide will have appropriate weights. We are providing portable johns and hand washing sinks by the toilets. We will also have hand washing sinks by groups of food vendors. You should be able to find one near you. Dumpster for refusal disposal will be located at the corner of 18th St and Blue Island Ave. We will also provide security during the event and over-night. However, please don’t leave food or other small items unsecured in tent. We are not responsible for those items or your inventory.
VENDOR RESPONSIBILITIES We cannot and will not tell you what you should do to have a successful run at this year’s festival, you alone know what’s best for you and your business. However, we must tell you what is acceptable and your responsibility as a vendor:
No intoxication or drug use while vending or on premises.
No smoking inside the tents.
Keep area around your space clean and tidy.
No fighting.
No disrespecting customers.
Food vendors: observe all the rules stipulated in the Summer Festival Sanitation course and provide not only a sanitary environment but safe food as well.
Make sure open flames, hot surfaces, sharp objects, dangerous equipment, etc. is kept away from the public in a safe zone. Provide barricades if you need to.
No selling unauthorized products not discussed and approved in the application process.
No selling any alcoholic beverages whomever does, will be dismiss from the Festival and reported to the Police.
NO bringing any alcoholic beverages from outside the fest.
Dump all your garbage in dumpster and oil in oil-drum that will be designated for that purpose.

Keep it positive!
Do not disrespect the neighborhood or our neighbors.
Maintain your area neat and tidy at all times. Do not extend beyond the space you have been asigned.
Secure your tent(s) with proper weights. Inspectors from the Department of Buildings will be reviewing tents.
You should be able to come in with your vehicle after fest is done on Saturday and load stuff out, but it will be after 10:30pm and in an orderly and secure fashion, with the help of Pilsen Fest staff. Otherwise, you can load out using dollies or carts that you bring.
FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL GET YOU EXPELLED FROM FESTIVAL.
SUNDAY SHUTDOWN Pilsen Fest 2022 will officially end at 10:00pm on Sunday. It may take about a half hour to clear out all the attendees. Again, after 10:30pm, and in an orderly secure fashion, we will allow cars back into the fest grounds. Please clear and clean the area you have been given completely. Dispose of all trash in dumpster and oil in designated area. Do not leave anything behind.
DONATIONS ACCEPTED! If you should feel inclined to donate food for our volunteers, please do, and let us know! We would appreciate it immensely.
ATM’S ON SITE! This means people have more ways to buy from you! There will be four stations (that will be refilled as necessary) near the ticket booths on Blue Island Avenue. We still strongly encourage vendors to look into providing credit card service, but that is entirely up to the individual vendor.
